ASHTON and MATTHEW families (Yorkshire)

One of the current 'dead ends' in my family tree is Kitty (or Catherine) ASHTON.

Kitty was born in Yorkshire, England, probably in the late 1770s. She married Peter MATTHEW in 1803, and died sometime after the 1861 census. Associated surnames include HUDSON and LEAPER, and perhaps BOWER, HARWOOD and MOUNTAIN. Possible spelling variants for her married name include MATHEW, MATHEWS and MATTHEWS.

MATTHEW or MATHEW, Barton-le-Willows, North Yorkshire

I am researching Peter MATTHEW or MATHEW (sometimes written as MATTHEWS or MATHEWS) of Barton-le-Willows (parish of Crambe, North Yorkshire). He married Catherine (Kitty) ASHTON in 1803 at Kirby Misperton.

Their daughter Christiana MATTHEW (1806-1892) married William HUDSON of Barton-le-Willows. Another daughter, Jane MATTHEW, married William LEAPER.

HUDSON, Barton-le-Willows, North Yorkshire

I am interested in any HUDSON families connected with Barton-le-Willows (in the parish of Crambe) in any time period - especially William HUDSON (1806-1882), his wife Christiana (nee MATHEW or MATTHEW) and children John, William Henry, Elizabeth, Matthew, George, Charles, Robert, Mary and Henry. Some of the family later moved to Malton, Middlesbrough, Leeds, Stockton-on-Tees etc.
